Air Jordan V (5) Retro
Designer Tinker Hatfield drew inspiration from the 1940s Mustang fighter plane when designing the Air Jordan V. Released in 1990, Jordan's fifth signature sneaker was originally constructed with a leather or nubuck upper, reflective tongue, lace locks, "Nike AIR" on the heel, "shark teeth" design on the midsole, and a translucent outsole. Over the years, the Air Jordan V has been released in many new colorways.
AIR JORDAN 5
The Air Jordan 5 hit shelves in 1990, maintaining the mesh side panels from its predecessor, but taking another bold step with its look — including the first appearance of a translucent sole on a Jordan signature sneaker. Tinker Hatfield drew inspiration from World War II-era fighter planes when he implements the infamous "shark-teeth" look into its design along the midsole.
